ESL Classroom Old Mobile Site

For this project, I was tasked with redesigning the ESL Classroom website to enhance its organization and user appeal. Initial user tests indicated the need for brand guidelines and a sorting feature to categorize games into groups such as active games or verbal games.

To address these challenges, new branding colors were selected to improve visibility, and custom iconography was created for each game. Additionally, I designed the user flow to ensure smooth interactions with the game icons and provided detailed explanations for each game.

Egaoかけはし Project Website Design

I was given the opportunity to design an online video platform for children in Fuchu City to upload videos showcasing their craft projects. The EGAO Kakehashi Project aims to connect children from Fuchu City with their peers in underdeveloped countries around the world. To achieve this, it was essential to engage kids through social media.

The website design was inspired by the popular video viewing app, YouTube Kids, to ensure familiarity and appeal. Targeting children aged 6-8 and 9-12, the goal was to create an engaging website that encourages interaction and content sharing between kids from different countries.

To enhance cultural exchanges, we integrated a chat function for personalized messaging and added customized reaction buttons for videos uploaded to the site.

Toto Cake Tokyo

The client wanted to design an ordering app for her specialty cakes business. She needed something simple for users to navigate yet eye-catching. We developed a mobile ordering app that showcases the size and flavors of cakes available for order. We also made it easy to switch between English and Japanese for seamless navigation.

Users are directed to the home page, which features links to social media and an order button. A hamburger menu provides navigation to Home, About, Orders, and Language Settings. Given that our target audiences are Japanese natives and residents of Japan, we prioritized seamless navigation by focusing on the language settings. When users press the order button, they are taken to the first cake design, where they can swipe through various designs for their personalized cakes. On the cake order page, users can select the size, quantity, and flavor they prefer. Once decided users can then quickly make their order.

To maintain the whimsical theme of her logo without overwhelming the design elements, we used bold colors that guide users’ eyes through the ordering process. This approach ensured that the app is both visually appealing and user-friendly.

WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

KMD FORUM Crystalvisions

I’ve independently constructed a website dedicated to Keio Media Designs’ KMD Forum, the highly anticipated annual event at KMD. The platform serves as a space where students can showcase their research for their Real Project. In this project I also played a pivotal role in conceptualizing the website design throughout the project.

Panmeyan

I collaborated with a partner to conceptualize a business idea for a bakery based in Japan, focusing on online presence amid the pandemic. The concept involved designing a website that integrated an ordering system and delivery service to enhance the bakery’s accessibility and customer experience.

KMD PLAY Project

"Play to the Future" Exhibition 2022

Every year, KMD’s Real Project “PLAY” holds its annual exhibition, which showcases students’ research. In 2022, I played a role in both the design and implementation of the website for the exhibition. The exhibition highlights the research design work undertaken by students participating in PLAY Project.
